1. What do I wear to the session?
Wear comfortable clothing that will not inhibit your movement. In order to get the most out of your stretch session, make sure your clothing is as flexible as possible.
2. How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes before your session so we can get you set up properly, you can change if necessary, and you can get warm if it’s cold outside.
3. How long does each session take?
Each session is either 30 or 60 minutes.
4. Is it painful to get stretched?
It is not painful to get assisted stretching with us. Your practitioner will be in constant communication with you regarding appropriate and comfortable ranges of motion. If at any time you feel any pain or discomfort, just let us know and we’ll adjust accordingly.
5. Will I experience any delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS)?
It is possible, since we are working the muscles through ranges of motion you are not accustomed to, that you might experience a little bit of soreness a day or two after your stretch. This is completely natural and absolutely nothing to be concerned about.
6. Is it better to get stretched before or after my workout?
It is definitely better to get stretched after. Stretching after will help muscle recovery, oxygen and blood flow, and will minimize the effects of delayed onset muscle soreness and get you back into action much sooner.
7. But I do yoga, so do I need to stretch?
Assisted, adaptive stretching is quite a different stretch than yoga, and you will definitely benefit and definitely should get stretched with us. Our methods will enhance your yoga practice and improve the depth and balance of your postures.
8. Are there lockers available?
Yes, we have lockers available for you to store your stuff while you are being stretched. They will be safe and secure. If you prefer, you can bring your own lock.
